Technology

 A lot of us today have the newest electronics in technology. we have smart phones, smart cars, iPad, touch screen computers, the apple watch, the list could just go on for miles.  in this day and age if we do not know how to get to a store we can just type in the address on goggle map and it will find us the quickest way to get to where we need to go. 

      I feel like all this technology is bad for our future.  i am not sure if anyone has notice but most of the teenager today want the money up front but they do not want to work for it.  if the child came from an upper class family they are probably use to getting  thing they ever wanted and they did not even have to lift a finger to buy it.  I am sorry to say this but the most of teenagers in the younger generation are just lazy. 

    The other thing about technology is that it takes the face to face interaction away from your friends and family.  many people care more about how many people like their post, or how many followers they have. what about your family that lives with you? do they not even exist?  with all this technology it can cause many problems between people who are trying to get married and start a life.i have seen couples get mad at each other over something so stupid on facebook or just because he or she was talking to the opposite sex.  in my opinion it is best to get rid of facebook and twitter or what ever social network you have and stay focused on loving and caring for your spouse. 

   it is sad to say that even a two old knows how to use a smart phone. toy companies have even started to make toy smart phones for kids.  they only thing i see when a child at two years old can handle a smart phone is that the parents are not interacting as much with the child.  the child is only copping what the parents do. so if it is swiping left and right on a screen all day then that is what the child will do.  when will this technology stop?  i know that people think it is great for the future but i think it is the end to man kind. 


  kids are getting less outdoor time because they are too busy playing games or online talking to friends instead of going to the park to play. set a time limit that the kids can be online or on the phone. try the same for yourself.  it might do you some good to go outside and just take a nice walk without any music or distraction and just listen to the nature around you.

time

first I would like to say i am only writing about time because one with my other classes plus work I forgot today was the 5th and that the blogs where due tomorrow. at least i am being honest.

   

     When we were kids I am sure most of us remember the saying, lets go. we do not have time for this.  I heard this all the time growing up.  As a kid we never understood what are parents meant.  For us as kids it felt like time would just drag  on. most of the time is was during the school days. Just think back to sitting in first or second grade and all you could think about was going home to play outside. the problem was you felt like you were in school  for days.  

       As I have gotten older  I now understand that time does not stand still and that it goes by faster and faster ever day.  Just think about it for a minute. You wake up, go to work, come home, work on homework and then go to bed. let's not forget to add in classes every other day.  time just flies by. in about six months i will be getting married. I know i keep talking about it a lot but it is a big stepping stone in my life.  

Just remember even in a busy life take some time off just for yourself and maybe family. we all need that alone time just to help us recharge the body and be ready for what ever life throws at us the next day. 

favorite season

   As most of you may know here in Indiana you can never really tell what the weather will be like. you can never trust the weather man on t.v.   Here in Indiana it could start out nice and warm and then it could go to cold and rainy the rest of the day. That is all in one hour. Right now we are suppose to be in spring but we went straight from winter to summer. it was almost ninety today. Just two weeks ago it was barley in the forties.

       Indiana is not that bad of state to live in. I do have to say my favorite season is spring. some do not like spring because of allergens and pollen.  I love spring because this is the time of year when the all flowers start blooming.  It is all a form of new life in a way. After being stuck inside all winter i am glad to be able to get out of the house without have to wear three layers of clothing and i do not have to worry about ice or snow on the road. do not get me wrong winter is great for sitting in side by a fire and reading your favorite books.

       
     Spring also means that summer is on its way and school is almost done. for most that means family vacations.  For me it means i am one season closer to my wedding. Spring is also a time when most women decide to get married because of the beautiful weather. Here in Indiana the best wedding is a nice spring wedding that can be done outside; as long as it does not rain.  So now that i have told you about my favorite season comment about your favorite season and tell me why you like it.

       

mother's day

Moms come in many different shapes and sizes but in the end they are still called mom.  My mom is the best. She is there for me in the good times and bad.  Some days she might get mad at me but at the end of the day she still loves me. Some may say that their mom does not love them because she never says the phrase I love you.   Your mom does not have to say the phrase i love you. you just know that she loves you by her actions every day.  She says good morning to you, ask how your day was and she makes you dinner even when she knows she will have to eat alone because everyone is at work or school.
       
          Most moms have a spouse to help them and others do not. My mom is one of the ones without  a spouse. That does not make my mom less of a mom, she just has to work harder to raise my sister and I.  right now she probably does not want to say it but she is holding back her tears as we are making plans for the my wedding. I am sure it is hard to watch children grow up so fast but seeing them grow each day a mom can only hope that she did her best raising her children. 

        Some of you may not be so closer or personal with your mom but just stop and think of all of things that she has done for you as you grew up.  she is still your mother whether you are eighteen or thirty  five.  So with mothers day coming up every day should be mothers day, not just once a year. Remember God only gave you one mother. love her while you still can because one day she will leave this world and you will wish that you had only spent more time with her.  Happy mothers day :)

sunday moring rush

You wake 7:30.  Time to get ready for church again.  As you get ready you pick out your Sunday best instead of jeans or sweats like you wear through the week.  You do your hair and make up as well. once that is all said and done you grab something for breakfast real fast and by that time is almost 9am.  Now is the time you grab you bag and bible and head out the door. It would be awful  if you showed up late to church.

As you greet everyone at church you put on that fake smile like nothing is wrong in your life.  you then sit down and look at the clock and start thinking that the pastor better be short and sweet to get to the message because you have some much more to do today.   once you leave you put another fake smile and pretend that you heard everything the pastor had to say when really you are thinking what you are going to fix for lunch.   

this is just one example that that we are just going through the motions and not focusing on what is really important.  God is the top priority but yet we are just going to church just to make your family name look good. it is all for show. what are we doing?  we are acting like we are going to a dog show to be judged on who is the best groomed at church.  YOU have got to be kidding me??!!   What is a Christian?  well no one knows anymore because so many of us that say we are Christians are just doing putting on a show.  they don't want to disappoint mom or dad by not following in their footsteps of life.   No wonder so many choose not to believe anymore.  we are nothing but a big group of hypocrites. 

We have to make a change.  let me ask you this.  If someone asked you  how do you know that God is there for all of us how would you explain that to them?  sure you can say well it says it in the bible.  Anyone that can read would know that.  You really have to dig deep to give them an answer.  your answer could make or break this person on whether or not they chose to believe. 

Stop going through the motions!! Stop acting like you are going to get first place for being the best dressed at church!!!  sure no one is perfect and we all do sin but we have to learn to repent that sin and give it all to Jesus.  he is the only way to the father.   so next time you go to church be yourself and go because you are giving all your glory to God and you are there to worship him and learn more about his word.

what is love?

When reading many books in English class most of the time love is not the main point of the story but there are few that do talk about love.  No one can really give say what love is because everyone is going to have a different answer.  Just like in the books we read they all have different endings.   William  Faulkner wrote, Loving all of it even while he had to hate some of it because he knows now that you don't love because.

I think this means you do not love just because. You love because you feel the connection and passion between you and your soul mate. You love because you care.  There is a lot more to love than just "love" in bed so to speak.

What is love? Love to me has many different definitions.  Love is waking up to your soul mate in bed.  Just watching him sleep peacefully and wondering what he  is dreaming about.  Love is having your soul mate trying to anything and everything to help you get over your cold by treating you like a princess.  Love is knowing that God gave you another day to live life to the fullest.  Love is still caring for your sister even though she makes mad. Love is just giving a smile to everyone you see. It could really change someones day.  Love is coming home to your dog and just seeing how excited she is to see you.  Love is comforting someone through a time of loss of a loved one.  Love is giving back to those who have less than you do. Love is taking time out of your busy live style to help someone who can no longer get up and move like we can. Love is your mother, who is single and raising you and your sister, and helps you pay for college even though money is tight.  

As you can see love can be many things. Your love grows as you get older and start to have children.  Just remember that you do not love just because.  You love because you chose too.  So what does love mean to you?
